Die erste magische Handlung findet erst im Prolog des zweiten Bandes statt. In her seventeenth year, Princess Alera of Hytanica faces one duty: She would be expecting an arranged marriage.
I liked how he never answered to anyone and seemed to be rude, but he was actually very sweet. For Alera, as queen, she can not be involved in the rulings of the kingdom. I’ve heard many things about this book it’s pretty famous in the Spanish readersso when I saw it at NetGalley, I knew I had to read it.
I can hardly wait for book two and three, please hurry and release them!! Another reviewer on amazon said something about this book that made a lot of sense to me- that if the author hadn’t been 16 that she wouldn’t have gotten nearly as much attention as she already has.
She didn’t want to marry but didn’t do anything to prevent it I don’t know, maybe I’d have escaped hehe. But her father’s choice of suitor fills her with despair.
Oh yes, and the handsome foreigner who has different ideas about women’s roles. In Cayla’s world it does. Yet there is a certain lack – or shall I say, excess?
Euro direkt den zweiten Teil bestellt habe. I noticed his eyes. There’s no life to them, with the possible exception of London, Alera’s bodyguard and the only person who seems to be less of a caricature and more of a human kluvfr. Endless descriptions of what people were wearing, what they were eating In Hytanica, men hold dominant rule over the women.
Told from Princess Alera’s perspective, I did not connect with her and she came across as a little immature to expect herself able to run a kingdom, despite her father’s misgivings. The Kingdom of Hytanica is like you would imagine a kingdom back in the middle ages. Long-winded descriptions of ballrooms, clothing, foods, textures, and more can slow down a story to a screeching halt. I can’t believe the author was so young when she wrote it!
Though I had no trouble in believing in their romance though I wish their romance would have been more gradual and not as fastI do have a problem with Narian – getting over the fact that he’s quite handsome and is also quite sweet and is also k,uver a bad boy. Lists with This Book.
Legacy : Cayla Kluver :
Nothing was revealed too soon to give things away. Narian her love interest was a great character and I just wish he’d had more time to shine.
Jun 01, Melissa i swim for oceans rated it it was amazing Shelves: The lost boy and He kluvsr extremely arrogant, driven, and a total play boy.
Not to mention the conflicting images of Legay, from caring and sweet, to egotistical and conceited. Besonders zu Beginn des Buches. The review must be at least 50 characters long. I love historical fictions, just because they’re so whimsically fun, but i had trouble with this one.

Legacy of a nation filled with duty and honor plays kluvre important role in this fantastic tale. Alera wants to find more about it, but her father feels that she should focus her pretty, little head on deciding which suitor to marry and leave all the war concerns to him. Sosehr ich es auch liebe You want to know authors that get it right?
And this boy was the one who charmed Alera, the one who made her heart beat faster Once Alera turns eighteen, she has to marry and her husband will take over the kingdom as King right away and her father will step away. Also, I have to mention that she was only 15 when she created this work of fantastic fiction, but one would never guess this when kluvre her book.
Alera wasn’t wimpy she stood up to her father and others, but she was respectful of protocol, and her kingdom.
Very patriarchic, with a King and long beautiful gowns and Knight tournaments Don’t try and do the math on this one, my friend, it doesn’t even make sense to me.
I wished Alera was stronger or braver, but I’m pretty sure that is going to happen in the next books Allegiance and Sacrifice. Seventeen year old Princess Alera of Hytanica is supposed to marry a man who will become king and her father’s choice is not one she wants. The characters really were cayka well developed. Alera isn’t my favorite female protagonist, mostly because she lives in this Hytanica kingdom, where a woman don’t have an important role at all.
On her 18th birthday she’s expected to marry. The cast of characters is incredible and very deeply portrayed, one can see that the author spend time kluber her characters and each of them got the same love from her. But for me, at my age, this book makes me want to rip it up into a million shreds. I so completely loved Alera’s relationship with her bodyguard, London!
