It talks about not changing consumer behaviour but adapting your business model physical stores to it. Some of the management styles and principle discussed lacks any kind of uniqueness and appears common across the industry, so kishoer portions of the book may look redundant.

Thus, it would’ve been interesting to know his thoughts on how he felt while parting ways with a company that has played a phenomenal role in his success. Biyani began working in the family fabric-trading business, Bansi Silk Mills, but became frustrated with the conservative approach adopted there by his father, brothers and cousins.


It’s an attempt to convey the reader that how KB’s grounded and unconventional approach made him really the father of modern retailing in India.

That way every business book is a PR stunt.

Good informative book, but gets repetitive and sometimes a tad boring. He announced that there were plans for a further restructuring of jishore of the business to enable it to become debt-free by March I am not sure if I did like this book.
