I had many many problems with this novel, but the big one that made this lorraihe one star instead of a two star is the heroine shaming her friend. Now Robert has escaped and reclaimed his birthright, and no one has even noticed. I reread it and could not describe how this story connects with me on so many levels. There are twists and turns to the story.
It was more difficult because I really loved Catherine; this fondness for her just made the hurt more painful. But we’re to believe that our Hero has more scruples, conscience, and honor in his noble soul, so murder is out of the question.
